Earlier this week, San Miguel took some time out to celebrate, recognise and appreciate our staff for a successful 2023 with our annual Employee Awards, and first ever in-person presentation night. The evening highlighted the top performers in the SMYA Group and was celebrated by the executive team, led by our Chair, Ferdie Tumpalan, Ross Sinclair (DMD), Jason Morris (GM HR), and Rene Cabrera (MD). Other key managers and senior staff in Australia and New Zealand were in attendance, together with other VIP’s from SMYPC in Manila.
It was truly a night to remember as all the winners were toasted and given their well-deserved recognition for a job well done last year.
In addition to our current trophies: The Outstanding Performer in Sales (TOPS) in 2 categories, POWER and Team of the Year (TOTY) awards, we also gave away 2 new trophies – the Safety Champion Award in line with our focus on safety and wellbeing, and the highly coveted Employee of the Year Awards for each business unit. With the introduction of this new trophy, winners from our Employee of the Year Award now go into the running to win the POWER (Company Values) Award.
